120 Volt UPS Systems
Workstation, Network Level and Mission Critical UPS
Looking for a better UPS than mail order and office supply stores provide but still paying those low prices, or better? Here we are.
Small UPS are avilable in Three Topologies
- The Base Model (Office Pro) provides regulated utility power with surge protection in normal mode and then switches to the battery when incoming power is not available or acceptable. These are what we refer to as workstation level UPS. The output when on battery is a modified sine wave that is acceptable quality to power computer equipment. If the site has a generator that is not steady on frequency the UPS could switch back and forth to and from battery while the generator is powering the UPS. Within the industry Base Models are often referred to as line interactive modified sine wave UPS.

- The Network Model (Network Pro) adds greater voltage regulation capability and sine wave to the Base Model. Other characteristics are similar to the base model however the output is a sine wave. Within the industry Network Models are often referred to as line interactive sine wave UPS.

- 1500 VA/ 1350 W
- 2200 VA/ 1980 W
- 3000 VA/ 2700 W
- Typical applications include:
- The Mission Critical Model (Online Pro) is configured like an on line larger data center UPS. The Mission Critical Model is always online, converting incoming power from AC to DC and back to AC. This means the system is providing maximum protection at all times. Output is always a true sine wave with +/- 1% regulation. Mission Critical versions have an internal bypass circuit as a second path to the critical load so that an internal component failure does not eliminate the ability to power the load. Battery and conditioning power might be eliminated in a failure but the load is not lost. Generator stability is not a concern with the Mission Critical on line design. Within the industry Mission Critical Models are often referred to as on line or double conversion UPS. Internationally these are also referred to as frequency independent designs.
